I’ve had a few people ask me what software I use for my virus protection. Now there are TONS of software and programs you can use, but I personally prefer Avira Internet Security. I’ve used Norton in the past and well I didn’t care for them too much plus I found they’re over priced for the service you get. So I went ahead and gave Avira a try and find it’s been doing a much better job. I love how it notifies me when I download stuff or come across a potentially dangerous page so I can fix the problem right then and there.
- We provide a worry-free internet experience to all kinds of PC users
- Avira online security is trusted all over the world./li>
- Our elite virus detection technology regularly receives awards from leading institutions.
I don’t just use a single virus protector though. I use a mix of software such as ad ware remover and spam removers and things of that nature. Here’s a few others you can check out:
- Acronis Backup & Recovery
- STOPzilla AntiVirus

It’s important to keep a virus protector on ANY computer that has internet access. There’s so many ways for people to hack a computer these days and they’re getting harder to detect and remove so it’s equally important to keep your protection up to date to try and prevent it from happening. Basically once you have a virus your computer is no longer yours. It doesn’t mean someone else will be controlling it, although it is possible, but it is infected and won’t work quite the same. It’s the same as when a person gets a stomach virus for instance. You’re still you, just not acting the same way until you’re better. So it’s very important to keep your computer secure.
What software and steps do you take to protect your computer?
